Besides the action in the ice rink there will be a lot of different activities taking place. In the Like-a-Bike race, 2-5 year old kids can try to make their rounds. Nearby, the grownups can compete on the Modular Pumptrack. Each person can take their time and compare it with the times of pro-athletes all over the world.

TICKETS 2021 ARE AVAILABLE FROM MARCH ON!
On Saturday, there are two different kinds of tickets: afternoon ticket until 18:00 and one for the whole event day.
Saturday Afternoon Ticket (until 6pm):
With this ticket you are free to be in the event site until 6pm. After 6pm, you have to leave the icerink, but you are welcome to watch the finals at the Swatch Trucks Public Viewing Zone. Of course, there is food, drinks and toilets in this zone as well.
If you get a family pass and you want to watch the finals, each person can purchase an upgrade. These tickets will be sold out early, make sure to get one in the pre-sale.

Take the Train to Thun, then the bus number 1 from Thun Trainstation to Steffisburg Flühli. Get off at the station Marktgasse.
Or be sporty and walk from Thun Trainstation to Kunsteisbahn (Ice Rink) Grabengut: 15 min (1.1 km).

2017 we went back to the roos of the Mountain Bike Sport. In the 80s version of the Swatch Rocket Air we saw a big ghettoblaster drop and lots of moustaches. Rogatkin won again, just before the two Italians Testa and Caverzasi.

The Swatch Rocket Air became Gold Status in the FMB World Tour in 2016. Nicholi Rogatkin not only won the contest, but also the whole world tour. Showing a twister in his 2nd run, knowing he'd already won made him a crowd favourite in Thun!

He did it again, after winning the Swatch Rocket Air 2014, Thomas Genon could convince the judges as well as the crowd one more time. A new spectators record as well as a huge pumptrack in front of the icerink, 2015 has been a successfull year for the Flying Metal Crew, organizer of the event.

With the theme „forest“ the 5th edition oft he Swatch Rocket Air was taking place in 2014. The Flying Metal Crew and over 100 volunteers changed the ice rink into a fir forest with a huge ax and Highlights made of trunks. Winner was Thomas Genon, second was last years winner Sam Pilgrim. There were a lot of changes happening for the Rocket Air in 2013. First the Name. The Event grew and improved in quality with the new main sponsor Swatch. In addition there was a livestream for the first time ( Here on Red Bull TV) and the starting tower started on top of the car park nerarby. The winner was Sam Pilgrim, who aswell got the title of the FMB World Champion.

For the first time the Swatch Rocket Air is produced around a theme. It was obvious that it had to be the theme Switzerland since we’re in the wonderful Bernese Oberland. And so Martin Söderström won, flying over plastic cows.

There was one special thing remaining after the second edition of the Rocket Air Event: The triple whip of Martin Söderström. Until then a trick that had just been seen in videos. This trick made Söderström win the Best Trick Award. Although he couldn’t assert himself against his three opponents.

Flying Bikes at the Ice rink of thun? Most of the people couldn’t and didn’t want to believe it. But the brothers Jérôme and Ramon Hunziker faught together with the Flying Metal Crew for the rights of all riders and made a dream come true. Riders from all over the world were participating at the event and people came to see them Not even the Critics could have predicted what happend to the Event years later.
